Camp SESE

Camp SESE 2015 dates: Friday, Sept. 11 - Sunday, Sept. 13

Camp SESE provides all new SESE majors (freshmen and transfers) an introduction to ASU, the School of Earth and Space Exploration, and the SESE family. Camp SESE is intended to be a fun, informative activity and an opportunity for new students to get to know us and each other. Faculty, staff and upperclassmen will act as a resource for students during the camp. View the brochure

All freshmen must take SES 191 and Camp SESE is part of that course. Students will participate in this 3-day, 2-night excursion to ASU’s unique facility at Retreat at Tontozona. At 5600’ in the Ponderosa Pines near Payson, AZ (1.5 hours from ASU’s Tempe campus) Retreat at Tontozona offers a welcome escape from the summer heat in a beautiful wilderness area. Studies show that students who are immediately engaged in their academic environment have higher retention and graduation rates.
